uPVC windows are built using Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride; a durable and low-maintenance material that is easy to clean and versatile. One of the key reasons it is used for windows is because it can be made in a great range of colours and style options but is also hard-wearing and easily looked after. The perfect choice for a good look at an affordable price.
uPVC windows can last for up to 20 years because the material (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) is hard-wearing and strong. It isn’t susceptible to cracking or rotting, unlike wood, and therefore has the potential to last for well over a decade.

The first thing to understand when answering the question of possibly replacing your current windows is that uPVC windows are made up of 3 elements.
This is the soul of the uPVC window and consists of two or sometimes three panes of glass with a gap between them that is either a vacuum or is filled with dehydrated gas to reduce heat transfer and create an airtight sealed unit. A bar is put in place and this holds the glass a fixed distance apart and the sealant is then applied to hold the glass together to stop vapour entering the unit. Ventilation agent is combined into the spacer bar of the unit to capture any dampness that passes through the unit.
The window instruments are the hinges, handles and locks that are attached to both the exterior border and the window edge itself. These also have a great life expectancy.
uPVC windows are becoming increasingly popular due to the number of benefits they bring. The windows will last a lifetime, with very little maintenance needed at all and at the end of their lifespan they can be recycled, reducing their environmental impact. Some more benefits of the uPVC windows are below:
Unlike traditional timber frames, uPVC does not rot and is highly resistant to corrosion, helping windows maintain their strength and appearance for many years.
uPVC windows require very little maintenance. The frames do not need painting or regular treatments and can be easily cleaned using a damp cloth and warm water.
uPVC is a non-conductive material, meaning it does not easily transfer heat. This helps maintain a more consistent indoor temperature and improves the overall comfort of your home.
Modern uPVC windows are fitted with advanced multi-locking systems, providing a high level of security and helping protect your home or business.
